Why SYNC Should Be The Number 1 Priority For Your Music?

When you get your songs synced it can mean a lot more than just making some moola, it can help you garner the attention of the media, and at best, catapult your career.

You see getting media attention is hard work, Radio & TV programmers, journo's and bloggers are getting sent a lot of music on a daily basis. However if you can pitch a great song, coupled with the news that your track is being used in a episode of a big TV show it will then be guaranteed to get more attention than the next artist/band that is just waving the 'we have a great song' flag.

It doesn't matter how big or small the Sync is, it's proof that your song has been filtered to be a winning track that made it into a TV show, Film or Commercial. Credible people in the business have essentially already given it a BIG GREEN TICK.

Whether you are releasing your first EP, a seasoned artist, or a savvy manager, a sync placement can work wonders in firing up your ammunition for the media.

It works two ways:

One, you get to reach a whole new bunch of potential fans. And two, whether it be radio, blog sites, music magazines or the mainstream press, you also get to reach and impact the professionals in the media industry, which inturn, can give you access to even more new fans and industry buzz.

Over the years we've seen artists sell over 10,000 units on iTunes after one airing of their song in a TV show. We've seen artists pick up over 100 USA college radio stations from 1 placement. We've seen artists buy a tour van with money made from a placement. We've seen artists get picked up by reputable managers. We've seen solid distro deals appear for acts, and we've seen music supervisors sync their songs in other film and TV opportunities.

There are literally thousands of people that can sync your music whether it be TV Shows, Films, Commercials, Video Games, Trailers or Online Promos. Start by finding out the best possible people to pitch your songs to. Then do your homework on music supervisors, search for articles on the net, check out the music they are already placing in shows, commercials etc. Then when you are ready to reach out, formulate a solid system for presenting your music and following up.

So when you're putting together your next promotional plan to release a track/s, remember to always add SYNC to the top of the list.
